Online Trading is  something we love at sella. Without it we wouldn’t exist! But we also appreciate that it is a never ending battle to keep scammers off our site. We think fighting this problem, with our members help, is the best way to approach this issue. If you ever spot anything dodgy or suspicious on the site let us know. Either post it here or send a message to our help desk through the site. We will fully investigate all leads we are sent. We are also working closely with ScamBusters where ever we can to eliminate bad traders on the site. ScamBusters are New Zealand’s leading knowledge base when it comes to online scamming and we welcome their support of the sella family.

This morning our wonderful development team got up super early to release  a bunch of new enhancements on sella.co.nz. There are simply too many things to list in one post, but some of the highlights include :

New ‘Post – Sale’ process

We’ve improved what happens once you sell an item. Our new sold and purchased sections highlight the next best action to step you through the post sale process.

Standard Payment and Shipping Instructions

Use standard payment and shipping instructions to simplify the creation of listings and to speed up the sales process.

sella Store Account

A lot of our stores were struggling with switching between user and store accounts. So sella stores no longer have to choose, just log into your sella account and you will automatically be logged in as your store.

Advanced Search

Property, Motoring, Jobs and Flatmates now have advanced search and you can search within specific categories.

New Selling Catergories

We have completely updated our categories with over 800 new options for all our users to select.

Note : Auctions closing this morning extended

Because of the size of this release we did have to turn off sella for a few hours this morning. As a result any auctions closing between 4am and 7am were extended by 3 hours. The site is now running as per normal and we welcome any feedback you may have.

We thought it was about time we introduced sella to the world, and what better way to do this than through Facebook. Over time we plan to add some cool features to sella that will allow you all to add sella content to your own pages. For a start though why not become fans of sella on Facebook, and let the rest of the world know what they are missing out on.

We encountered an issue today that impacted sella. This was the result of partial failure on a Maxnet device. The duration of the incident was between 3 and 10 minutes. All auctions around this period had thier finish times extended by 1 hour.
