At sella we hate sitting still. We are constantly looking at things that can improve our site and what we offer to end users. Today marked another product release which included the following enhancements :
New look search results which show free shipping, highlights our new “donate to charity” function and subtitles.
Ability to donate proceeds of sales to a charity.
Improved registration form.
A number of layout tweaks and usability improvements.
Improved performance.
Improved user moderation to reduce scams.

Our hardworking Development Team was at it again this morning at 5am releasing the next range of sella site improvements.
All auctions closing between 5am and 5.30am were pushed forward half an hour as a result of the site being temporarily offline.
Highlights of this release include :
- A new photo viewer
- An improved image uploader
- Improved RSS Feeds that now contain more information you can display on your own sites.
- Improved usability for buyers and sellers, including earier access to watch [...]

We are excited to announce that we now have an active Credit Card payment facility live on the site. At this stage this is limited to Mt Hutt $1 Reserve auctions but after a short period of testing we will be looking to also offer this service to other sella stores. Our wonderful development team has been hard at work, and as a result you can now add any listing on sella.co.nz to your Facebook, Bebo or Twitter Profile. The listing will appear as a link in your profile and a great way of advertising your listing to your friends, family and colleagues.

This morning our talented development team released 2000 new listings categories live to sella.co.nz. These new categories include some moved categories and also some new mappings.
We are very excited about these changes and hope they will enhance the user experience for both our sellers and buyers online. In particular our members using Auctionitis, Snipesoft and Trade Tool to upload products will benefit from this upgrade. If you want any more information about this release please get in touch.

We encountered an issue today that impacted sella. This was the result of partial failure on a Maxnet device. The duration of the incident was between 3 and 10 minutes. All auctions around this period had thier finish times extended by 1 hour.

Long story short, a database table (unconnected to sella) became corrupt this morning. To fix this we had to go to maintenance mode (essentially turn sella off) for approximately 10 minutes. All auctions completing in this period were extended by an hour.

Sella experienced a few issues this morning. Some users will have experienced errors while using the site. These problems were traced to a rogue webserver, which has been removed from the environment. The problem period was between 7am and 10am.
