Carters, KidsCan StandTall Charitable Trust and a host of local celebrities have teamed up to build and decorate playhouses in the Auckland area. These playhouses will then be displayed at Carters branches across Auckland next week while they are auctioned off online at sella.co.nz.
All 15 playhouses will be decorated by celebrities from all walks of life…. Mark Olsen and his 8 year old art student, The Warriors, Sally Ridge, Shane Cameron, Cocksy, The Fairy Shop, The Mad Butcher, Claire Kingman-Jones, Peter Urlich, Josh Heslop and Sera-Lily.
Carters, as the building supplies merchant arm of Carter Holt Harvey, is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. The folks at Carters felt it was a good time to give back to the community that helped them reach this great achievement. In particular, they wanted to help New Zealand’s future by supporting KidsCan StandTall Charitable Trust.
The playhouses are constructed from plywood and will be painted with Wattyl paints that can survive the weather outdoors. With a doorway and three windows, the playhouses would make a fantastic Christmas gift for children. All funds raised will go back to KidsCan StandTall.
So check out the Carters KidsCan store on sella.co.nz for more information and the individual playhouse auctions!
